2019 was a tremendous year for National Ski Patrol. Not only did we serve 31,000 members in 17 countries on 4 continents, we continued to uphold the gold-standard of mountain safety and training in outdoor first responder and emergency training. Highlights include:
- Fundraising over $3,000 on #GivingTuesday to be passed to 16 local patrols across the U.S.
- NSP avalanche courses being recognized by the American Avalanche Association, as well as being accepted as a prerequisite for further professional education
- NSP being accepted into the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR)
- Building National Mountain Bike Patrol curriculum with a Bike Patrol 101 course nearing completion
We are excited for the New Year. We are evolving with the outdoor industry to meet and exceed the demands associated with more people than ever getting outside to enjoy the great outdoors. We will continue to serve you, the public, as well as the members that are core to everything that we do. We hope that you will join us in 2020 as a ski, snowboard, bike patroller or host, and that you will consider us in your 2020 giving so that we can keep the cost of our renowned training low and attainable.
