The Affiliate Program was created in 1988 to allow non-NSP organizations to offer the same training NSP provides to its members. Over the years, the program has grown to include outdoor recreation groups, colleges and universities, public safety agencies, wilderness groups, and government agencies. Affiliate organizations are linked to a geographic division which provides support resources in terms of training and instructor credentialing. The affiliate organization fee is $400 annually. Individuals who complete courses through affiliate organizations must become Associate Members prior to completing these courses.
